It is hard to believe that this time last year Max was born. Many things change when you add a second child to the mix, and one of those is the pace at which time flies!

Max is such a little lover. He is smiley and sweet and loves to play. He loves watching Lydia, and scooting after her as she runs around the house. (that's right, scooting, no crawling done here!) I am proud to say that he is a mama's boy, and he has the same big, beautiful eyes that Lydia was blessed with.

Lydia is an unbelievably responsible big sister. She is well aware of the things that Max should not have access to (small toys, plastic bags, etc) and she is quick to confiscate them if he somehow gets to them. She will almost always agree to help me with anything I ask her to (loading the dishwasher, laundry, diaper changes) and she is quite the critical thinker for only being three. She will begin preschool in the fall at Montessori School of Champaign Urbana and we feel she is more than ready.

We are looking forward to a great summer of getting out, doing a lot, and seeing a lot!

Lydia is three! She turned three on December 28 and we celebrated with several little parties (with different members of the family each time). The cutest thing had to be, though, when she talk to Carmen on the phone the day of her birthday. She said, "I'm free Carmen. I really am free. And it's everything I ever wanted at once!" Sooooo cute.

It's been a little rough going lately in the Rossi house! Lydia and Max have both had ear infections in both of their ears. All of which did not clear up with their first round of antibiotics. So they are currently on their second trial of antibiotics. Eighty doses total between Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Speaking of which, we are getting very excited at our house for Christmas and Lydia's THIRD birthday! We can't believe she is already three. She is quite the little comedian, and such a girly girl. She prefers to wear dresses every day, in specific the kind that "twirl"!

Here's hoping for a healthy holiday and birthday week. Lydia seems to think everything will be just fine, as long as they take their "Max-icillin" :)
